We are pleased to be able to offer the Category 2 certification course this year. This is available to those who have achieved their Category 1 certification and want to take their knowledge to the next level and become a Category 2 Qualified Thermographer.

9am - 5pm (Mon-Thurs), half day Friday

Our course tutor will conduct the course via Microsoft teams, with Eurotec qualified thermographers managing the class and assisting with practical lessons.

What to bring? Your thermal imaging camera. If you don’t have one, we will loan a profession Testo 883 camera.

The Category 2 Infrared Thermography Certification course is a 5 day course which follows ISO 18436-7. This course is designed for the Category 1 Thermographer who wishes to increase their knowledge to meet further challenges of thermography such as, but not limited to:

  • Selecting the appropriate infrared thermography technique and understand its limitations
  • Apply thermography theory and techniques, including measurement and interpretation of survey results.
  • Specify the appropriate hardware and software.
  • Perform advanced fault diagnoses.
  • Recommend appropriate field corrective actions and active infrared thermography applications.
  • Organisations who wish to, or are employing multiple Thermographers and would like to adhere to the requirements set down in ISO18436, which states; supervise and direct all Category 1 duties.

The Category 2 Thermography Certificate is a certification by The Australian & New Zealand Institute of Infrared Thermography.
